The most frequent symptom of Morton’s neuroma is pain in the ball of the foot that worsens while walking. Other common symptoms include numbness between the toes and a burning sensation. Morton’s neuroma often develops as a result of excessive pressure on the front of the foot, but can also be caused by misalignment of the foot. Sometimes, this condition can have no apparent cause.
